City Light Church has 3 main giving projects underway this holiday season:
1) Superkids Christmas Party
As the sole supporters of the New Hope to Asia school in the Philippines, we are working to raise money for their annual Superkids Christmas Party. These party is hosted every year to provide street children from Cainta with the opportunity to learn about Jesus, eat a nutritious meal, receive a gift, and have fun! Last year, over 1000 children were in attendance at this party. This is a great ministry that we get to support, and we challenge you to prayerfully give to this outreach project. We are collecting funds for the Christmas party from October 1-22, 2023, and you can give in-person at the church or online through e-transfer to giving@citylightchurch.ca. Please be sure to make a note that your donation is for superkids.
2) Operation Christmas Child
This is a nationally recognized project, but it is so impactful! Stating October 22, our church will aim to pack as many boxes as possible to be sent all over the world. This is a simple, yet obvious way to show the love of Jesus to those everywhere. You can pick up a box at the church, and inside will be instructions on items to pack and how to prepare your box for shipment. All boxes must be returned to the church by Sunday, November 12 so we can send them off during the national collection week.
3) CLC Christmas Hampers
Each year, our church packs Christmas dinner hampers for families in need. There is something special about families communing together over the holidays, and we don’t want anyone to miss out on that due to their troubling situations. From November 19-December 17, we will be collecting food donations to fill the hampers with. Clipboards will be passed around during Sunday service for you to sign yourselves up on. We will also be looking for helpers to pack the boxes & deliver them the week before Christmas. If you wish, you can also donate monetarily to help offset the cost of the turkeys we are purchasing for the boxes. You can do so in-person at the church, or through e-transfer to giving@citylightchurch.ca. Please make note that your donation is for the Christmas hampers.
Registration for a Christmas Hamper will open on December 1 through our website.
